At Cadini, our focus on sustainability is not limited to the choice of fabrics but involves every production stage, including dyeing.
We firmly believe that fashion should not harm the environment. That is why, in the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, we adopt a sustainable dyeing process that reduces energy and water consumption.
Cold dyeing and natural dyes: an ecological and innovative process
Our cold dyeing technique is suitable for all types of yarn, focusing on natural fibers. This method allows us to achieve intense colors while maintaining a low environmental impact. The dyes we use are entirely natural, derived from fruit and vegetable purées. Besides being environmentally friendly, they make each garment unique.
A distinctive feature of our natural dyes is their variability. Unlike synthetics, which produce uniform colors, ours can vary in intensity, giving garments a vintage effect and a unique look, far from the homogeneity of industrial products.

Sustainability and durability: the balance between beauty and durability
We design our garments to be long-lasting. Although natural dyes are sometimes considered less durable, our garments guarantee good durability. Their ratings for lightfastness, rubbing and washing are between 3 and 3.5 on a scale of 5. Synthetic dyes, on the other hand, score slightly higher on average (around 4 out of 5), but at a significantly higher environmental impact, requiring more resources and releasing harmful chemicals.
The real difference lies in the balance between sustainability and quality. Although the durability of our garments is slightly less than chemically dyed ones, the environmental benefits and unique aesthetics of natural dyeing more than compensate for this small difference.
